In the interests of clarity and transparency, I want to make sure we have a common understanding of what this blog is and is not.

This blog is a place to discuss ideas, impacts, realities, approaches, challenges, hopes, etc. related to creating positive, empowering, secure environments for the communities we live and work in to thrive.

This is not a place for political stumping, harassing or demeaning behaviours, sales, etc. I will remove any responses that seem to me to veer into those areas.

This is also not a place where I am giving you advice or solutions. I do not know your community, your challenges, your resources, etc. Meaningful security is not cookie cutter/ one cloak will work for everyone. I hope you will find the discussions and the posts useful, but useful as a means of asking “what do I/we as a community want to explore” or “how do we interpret that idea into something that supports what we want to do.” Any approaches discussed here are based on what was tried in a particular environment, at a particular time, and may have no application to your specific situation. I cannot and will not accept any liability for a community choosing to implement something based on the conversations within this blog.

In other words: As with any information - You use anything you decide to take from our conversation at your own risk and discretion.

That said, I hope you will choose to enter into conversations and thought experiments with me as a community of curiosity driven people seeking to shift security approaches in our communities to approaches that empower us to thrive amidst the meta crisis.
